9 Additional Protection Mechanism
Free Match is Gree’s outdoor compressor unit, built with nine additional protection mechanisms that monitor the unit and respond to faults before they become serious. Here is what each one does:
- Pipe Temperature Protection: Cuts off power when pipe temperature rises abnormally.
- Current Overload Protection: Activates protection during current fluctuations.
- Compressor Overload Protection: Prevents the compressor from locking up.
- High Pressure Protection: Releases pressure when system pressure gets too high.
- Exhaust Temperature Protection: Shuts the unit down if exhaust temperature is abnormal.
- Compressor Overheating Protection: Prevents damage from running dry.
- Compressor Current Monitoring: Checks current in two ways.
- PCB Current Monitoring: Checks circuit board current with a shunt.
- Refrigerant Shortage Protection: Lowers compressor frequency to keep the unit running.
